"In the year 2000, Buttress O'Kneel and Panthera Leo formed a project known as 'The Fruiting Body', dedicated to taking the sounds not normally categorised as musical, and turning them into music. They created two albums, 'The Field' and 'Nudibranch and the Moondew', pioneering albums of 'neoconcrète', a new genre taking the old techniques and aims of 'musique concrète' and expanding on them.

Shortly after the release of the second album, Panthera Leo left the world of music to focus on culinary activism, and it was thought that The Fruiting body was dead and buried.

But, in a delightful twist, nearly twenty years after their second album, Panthera's teenaged daughter (and one half of cult experimental-pop sensation 'Stinky Picnic') has filled the void that Panthera had left behind, and, like an exotic flower that blooms only once every 20 years, 'The Fruiting Body' is back!

Which, in this perverted twilight-zone hellhole we call 2020, is exactly the news we all so desperately need."
