about

SOME THINGS ABOUT COMPOP 40.3 CUBIST COREWAVE:

all the Cubist Corewave tracks were improvised using Leafcutter John's brilliant Forester 22 program / app / thingie. it's the only software i've ever actually paid for.

track 2 combines 3 different YouTube instrumental violin covers of Sam Smith's "Unholy" song, plus the instrumental version of the actual original "Unholy", with my track "Birthday Girl" from "Granular PostPopchop Memewave" from january this year. "Birthday Girl" is made from Beyonce's "Naughty Girl" and NCT U's song "Make A Wish (Birthday Song)".

track 11 combines the instrumental version of Sam Smith's "Unholy" song, mixed with my track "How You Like The Flamingo Apocalypse?" from my 2021 album "JKPop", plus a bit of 1 of those YouTube violin covers, plus a teensy schnippet of JVLA's song "She's Such a Wh*re" at the end there. The original "How You Like The Flamingo Apocalypse?" is made out of Black Pink's "How You Like That?" and Marc Rebillet's "Flamingo", with a touch of Savant's "Apocalypse".

track 13 combines my song "The Afternoon Tea of Remorse" from 2018's "R&D" with Ariana Grande's song "Bad Idea". "The Afternoon Tea of Remorse" is made out of the music from Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" and Melanie Martinez's "Pity Party", with a sprinkle of Leslie Gore's "It's My Party" at the end there.

hope you like it.

about

Buttress O'Kneel Australia

“Words like "mashup" and "remix" don't really do justice to Buttress O'Kneel's method - Top 40 pop crap gets sliced, diced, and tossed into a dizzying, exciting hardcore electro stew. Compared to other djs who timidly drop a Vanilla Ice acapella over a Chemical Bros intro just to move a dance floor, O'Kneel shreds copyrights with a blood-curdling vehemence. Smash the state!”
