about

"Although they've known each other a long time, and have very similar aesthetic views of the creative universe, Ms O'Kneel and Mr Demon Sheen have rarely worked together (constantly busy as they are with their own solo projects). So, in mid-2014, this dynamic duo decided to do something about this grave and gaping hole in the sonic tapestry of reality, and got together to create the improvised electromancy that we were all craving so much. With B'O'K on CDs and effects, and ADM on his trademark junkdrums (a regular drum kit augmented with pot lids and other assorted misc), the two went for it, and created a majestically shambolic musical mountain range of clusterfucked sound-heaps, which they then edited down to what you're hearing now. Live plunderphonics meets blackened thrash; experimetal distortion-pop explodes from the ashes of an immolated Top 40; familiar tunes destroyed and rebirthed as grindcoric mashcore. It's not what Buttress normally does, nor is it much like what A Demon Sheen usually gets up to. Instead, it's a noise-revelling exploration of entirely new fields of sound-art, and although the results may not be pretty, they certainly are enthusiastically produced. A+ for effort, anyway."

about

Buttress O'Kneel Australia

“Words like "mashup" and "remix" don't really do justice to Buttress O'Kneel's method - Top 40 pop crap gets sliced, diced, and tossed into a dizzying, exciting hardcore electro stew. Compared to other djs who timidly drop a Vanilla Ice acapella over a Chemical Bros intro just to move a dance floor, O'Kneel shreds copyrights with a blood-curdling vehemence. Smash the state!”
